Woodburn, OR – On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a Woodburn Police Department (WPD) Officer responded to the Woodburn Premium Outlets on the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the North Face store.

The suspect was last seen running from the store and described as an African American adult male wearing a black jacket, tan pants, green-billed cap with a white duffel bag. It was reported when he exited the store without paying for items he showed a knife and threatened employees.

Responding officers were able to locate the suspect, 28-year-old Vincente Leon Jr., still running through the parking lot. After initially attempting to hide, officers took him into custody without further incident. When in custody it was also discovered he was in possession of Xanax, Oxycodone, Morphine and Clonazepam packaged and ready for distribution. He was also found to have two Marion County Warrants for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, as well as currently being on probation out of Washington County for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

Leon Jr. was booked into the Marion County Correctional Facility on the following charges: Robbery I, Theft II, Felon in Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unlawful Delivery of Xanax, Oxycodone, Schedule II Substance and Schedule IV Substance. Leon Jr. was also booked on two outstanding Failure to Appear warrants and Washington County probation hold.
