PORTLAND, Oregon - A victim is recovering from an injury and a suspect faces assault charges after a stabbing in the Centennial neighborhood Monday evening.

On Monday, October 5, 2020 at 8:26p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of someone stabbed in a home in the 14300 block of Southeast Alder Street. When they arrived they located a victim with a stab wound to the lower back. The victim, an adult female, was transported by ambulance to a hospital. The injury was treated and determined to be non-life threatening.

Officers learned the suspect and the victim live together in the group home. After an investigation the officers arrested Olivia Doyle-Joseph, 20, of Portland. She was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Harassment. A knife was recovered and seized as evidence.
