Shooting in Portsmouth Neighborhood, Victim Suffers Serious Injuries

PORTLAND, Oregon - A victim is recovering from serious injuries after a shooting Monday in the Portsmouth Neighborhood.

On August 17, 2020 at 8:00p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of shots heard in the 7700 block of North Chautauqua Boulevard. Officers responded and located a crime scene. They learned that someone had been shot and was taken away in a private vehicle. A short time later an update came in that the victim had been brought into a hospital. He was treated and has serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect left the scene before officers arrived. No suspect information is being released.

North Chautauqua Boulevard is closed between North Lombard Street and North Winchell Street for the investigation.
