On arrival police learned that a subject had fired a .308 caliber bullet at a truck owned by the dealership and occupied by an employee. The subject then left the scene. There were no injuries.
At about 10:48am, officers located the vehicle driving near the dealership and conducted a high risk stop. Officers took Jose Galvan Nevarez, age 46, into custody and recovered a bolt action rifle along with several rounds of ammunition. Galvan Navarez was later lodged at the Washington County Jail for Unlawful Use of a Weapon (C Felony), Criminal Mischief 1 (C Felony), Menacing (A Misdemeanor), Reckless Endangering (A Misdemeanor) and Criminal Mischief 2 (A Misdemeanor).
Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident. At this time it is not believed that Galvan Navarez had any connection to the Doherty Ford employee.
