PORTLAND, Oregon - A victim is recovering from a gunshot wound that is believed to be non-life threatening after a shooting in the Eliot/Irvington/Lloyd District neighborhoods.

On Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 1:50a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of someone shot outside a restaurant in the 700 block of Northeast Weidler Street. When they arrived they learned that the victim and suspect or suspects had left before police were notified. A short time later a victim arrived at a local hospital. The victim, an adult female, was evaluated by doctors and police believe the injuries are not life threatening. Preliminary investigation suggests the victim was waiting in line at the restaurant's drive-through when at least one bullet struck her car and her in the driver's seat. She drove herself to the hospital.

Officers located evidence of gunfire at Northeast Broadway and Northeast 7th Avenue and closed the scene for an investigation. Currently, Northeast Broadway is closed between Northeast 7th Avenue and Northeast 8th Avenue.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) is responding to assume the investigation.
