Juvenile Injured by Gunfire in St. Johns Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Oregon - The Portland Police Bureau is investigating after a 15-year-old male suffered injuries from a shooting in the St. Johns Neighborhood. On Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 1:44 a.m., North Precinct officers were called to Pier Park on a report of gunshots being heard. In the 9600 Block of North Seneca Street they found a 15-year-old male with gunshot injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team is assisting with the investigation. If anyone has information about the shooting, they're asked to call police non-emergency dispatch at 503-823-3333 and reference case number 19-303134.

The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be released when appropriate.
