UPDATE: Henry Deondrae Brogdon, 30, is suspected of shooting and killing the mother of two in North Portland's Cathedral Park neighborhood on May 5.

On Friday, May 21, 2021, Henry Brogdon was arrested by the United States Marshal's Service in Tyler, Texas. He was booked into the Smith County Jail on a warrant for Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Extradition proceedings are expected.

Original Story

On May 5, 2021 at about 10:41 a.m., Portland Police officers from North Precinct responded to the report of shots in the Cathedral Park neighborhood, near North Willamette Boulevard and North Charleston Avenue.

Police found her shot to death inside an apartment after reports of gunfire. There was no suspect at the scene when police arrived.

She was identified as 30-year-old Breauna White, a mother and TriMet bus driver. The medical examiner concluded she died of gunshot wounds and ruled this a homicide. TriMet confirmed that White was one of its bus drivers.

"Our hearts go out to Bre and her family," TriMet said in a statement. "She was a valued bus operator and will be missed by her co-workers and the entire TriMet team."

Police have not released any information about a suspect at this time.

It is the 28th homicide in Portland in 2021.
