PORTLAND, Oregon - On Wednesday at approximately 9 PM, Portland police make a traffic stop on a motorcycle and a car that had been closely trailing the motorcycle in the 9000 block of NE Fremont Street. As both motorcycle and car came to a stop, the operator of the motorcycle ran into a nearby residence. Soon after entering the residence, the operator of the motorcycle came out of the house and approached the car that had been following him.

The operator of the motorcycle then entered the car that had been following him and pointed a handgun at police. He then ordered the female driver out of the driver's seat, and into the front passenger seat before fleeing from the traffic stop in the car. The motorcycle was left behind at the traffic stop and officers learned it was stolen.

It is unknown at this time whether the driver of the car and the operator of the motorcycle are known to one another. Officers would like help in locating the car, a white Mitsubishi Lancer, Washington license plate BNV0608.
