MADRAS, Oregon - A 7-year-old boy was killed in yesterday when he was hit by a car while walking across a street.
Last night police responded to the report of a pedestrian hit near the intersection of 5th Street and D Street. Police say the boy was crossing 5th Street, in the cross walk, when he was hit by a vehicle.
The boy was taken to Mountain View Hospital, where he was pronounced. His parents were notified.
The 64-year-old driver, a Madras man, cooperated with police, police say.
