PORTLAND, Oregon - On March 22, 2019 at 6:35 P.M., Central Precinct officers and medical crews were dispatched to the 3800 Block of Northwest Front Avenue on a report of a crash involving a semi and a passenger car. When they arrived, they found a car on its top and a driver and a dog inside with serious injuries. While firefighters and paramedics treated the injured, officers blocked traffic between Northwest Kittridge Avenue and Northwest 26th Place. The driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and the dog was transported to Dove Lewis Animal Hospital.

Initial information suggests that the semi was turning and the car struck the trailer of the semi, causing the car to roll over. The driver of the semi was not injured.
