Lake Oswego Police Arrest Suspect for Disorderly Conduct following School Lockout

LAKE OSWEGO, Oregon - On March 1, 2019 at approximately 4:40 PM Lake Oswego Police with the assistance of Newberg Police arrested a 24 year old male, Vasily V. Barbiyera Jr., in his Newberg home. Mr. Barbiyeru. is charged with 1st degree Disorderly Conduct, a class C Felony and is being lodged at the Clackamas County Jail.

Earlier in the day Mr. Barbiyeru called the Lake Oswego High School and said "Im coming over now and it's not going to be good". The school staff was able to keep Barbiyeru on the line and develop a report. While on the phone he told staff that he had guns along with many other weapons and referenced several other mass shootings. This aided in the discovery and location of Barbiyeru.

At the time of arrest he chose not to speak with police officers. There are no other suspects or persons of interest in this case.
